At Golden Star Car Hire, we are committed to providing our customers with reliable and timely vehicle delivery services. This Delivery Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding vehicle delivery, collection, and related services. By booking a service with us, you agree to comply with the terms of this policy.

1. Delivery and Collection of Vehicles

We offer flexible delivery and collection options for vehicles, ensuring that your experience with Golden Star Car Hire is convenient and hassle-free.

  • Delivery to Your Location: We can deliver vehicles to your preferred location within Lusaka, Ndola, Kitwe, Livingstone, and surrounding areas. Delivery charges may apply depending on the location and distance.
  • Airport Deliveries: We offer vehicle deliveries to major airports in Zambia, including Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (Lusaka), Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport (Livingstone), and Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport (Ndola), among others. Additional charges may apply for airport deliveries.
  • Delivery Timeframe: Vehicle deliveries will typically occur within 2-3 hours of the agreed delivery time. We will confirm the delivery time with you in advance and notify you if any delays are expected.
  • Collection of Vehicles: We offer vehicle collection services at the end of your rental period. If you are unable to return the vehicle to our office location, we can arrange a collection from your preferred location. Collection charges may apply depending on the location.

2. Delivery Fees

The delivery and collection fees depend on the distance between our office locations and the delivery/collection address. Our staff will inform you of the applicable delivery charges when making the booking or reservation. The following factors may influence the delivery fee:

  • Distance: The farther the delivery or collection point, the higher the delivery fee.
  • Location: Special locations such as remote areas or airports may incur additional charges.
  • Timing: Deliveries made during off-peak hours (e.g., late night or early morning) may have additional fees.

3. Delivery Time Confirmation

Once your booking is confirmed, we will provide you with an estimated delivery time. We will make every effort to deliver the vehicle within the agreed timeframe. If there are any unexpected delays, we will notify you promptly and work to minimize any inconvenience.

4. Vehicle Condition on Delivery

Upon delivery of the vehicle, our staff will perform a walk-around inspection with you to ensure that the vehicle is in good condition and free from any damages. Any existing damages or issues will be documented in a rental agreement to avoid misunderstandings. Please review and sign the rental agreement upon receiving the vehicle.

5. Delivery Location Requirements

The delivery location must be accessible by a vehicle, and our delivery staff should be able to park safely and legally. If the delivery location is not accessible or there are safety concerns, we reserve the right to request an alternative delivery location.

6. Late Delivery

If there is a delay in delivery due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., traffic, weather, or mechanical issues), we will notify you as soon as possible. While we make every effort to deliver vehicles on time, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by external factors.

7. Changes to Delivery Arrangements

If you need to change your delivery or collection arrangements, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. We will do our best to accommodate any changes, but additional charges may apply for last-minute changes or rescheduling.

8. Delivery Restrictions

We do not deliver vehicles outside Zambia. If you plan to travel to a different country, you must make your own arrangements for transportation. We also reserve the right to refuse delivery to locations that do not meet our safety or logistical requirements.
